The Ultimate Marketing Toolkit and Strategy Template

“Your complete guide to building—and executing—an effective marketing plan.”

Long-form content at Element Three was often a team effort, with lots of different writers, designers, digital marketers, and more throwing their weight behind a project. And as one of our biggest endeavours of that type, the Marketing Toolkit was no exception. This tangled web of creators is only complicated by the fact that the 2022 Marketing Toolkit is the latest in a long line of marketing toolkits, updated yearly for accuracy and new developments within the marketing industry as well as changes in the Element Three brand and the marketing consultancy’s offerings.

Over the years, I’ve written sections of the Marketing Toolkit, re-written others, and edited the whole thing from front to back a number of times to ensure consistency over time and to locate and eliminate any lingering errors, like outdated information from older versions of the toolkit and “expired” dates—because nobody wants to go to the trouble to download a 2022 version of a resource only to find it still has a few stray “2021”s.

As a writer and especially as an editor, the Marketing Toolkit has been one of the biggest and most impactful pieces I’ve been a part of for the past several years.

Selected performance information:

  • When one searches “marketing toolkit” on Google, the 2022 Element Three marketing toolkit appears on the front page of the results. Not only that, but it’s actually the fourth result—outranking resources from bigger brands like Content Marketing Institute, the American Marketing Association, and Semrush.

  • The Marketing Toolkit has been Element Three’s top downloaded resource since its first version. Due to its high SEO ranking, it’s one of the brand’s most potent awareness vehicles, attracting more new eyes to the brand than any other piece of downloadable or gated content.
